Ticwatch E2 and S2: Mobvoi presents new smart health connected watches with an air of déjà-vu
After the TicWatch Pro and C2 launched late last year, the Chinese manufacturer Mobvoi took advantage of the CES in Las Vegas to unveil two new smart health connected watches, the Ticwatch S2 and Ticwatch E2.
Like every year, the CES Las Vegas is an opportunity for manufacturers to unveil all kinds of smart health connected objects. For the Chinese manufacturer Mobvoi, watches are in the spotlight with the official presentation of two new models, Ticwatch E2 and S2.
Both watches are quite similar in spirit and components. They both feature a Snapdragon 2100 chip, a 1.39-inch Amoled display, a 400 × 400 pixel resolution, a 415 mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n connectivity, waterproofing certified 5 ATM and the absence of NFC. Like the previous models, both Mobvoi watches are running Wear OS and include a heart rate sensor and a GPS.
Specifically, difficult to see an evolution on these new watches compared to the range of the previous year, Mobvoi still refusing to switch to the latest chip Snapdragon 3100 because of greater simplicity for engineers of the brand to develop on the model 2100, almost three years old.
Two watches with different targets
However, the new Mobvoi Ticwatch watches are distinguished by their target. If the Ticwatch S2 is designed for extreme temperatures and environments, the Ticwatch E2 follows the Ticwatch E and targets primarily young people who would like a convenient and discreet watch with good autonomy.
The Ticwatch E2 and Ticwatch S2 Mobvoi will be available in the coming weeks at a rate that has not yet been announced by the Chinese manufacturer, but should be around 200 euros. The Ticwatch S2 will be offered in black or white, while the Ticwatch E2 will be marketed in black version.
